Jakob Van den Broucke is an undergraduate student in Art History at KU Leuven. He holds a degree in History (KU Leuven, 2018) and studied abroad at L’Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna. Since 2019 he is employed at Illuminare – Centre for the Study of Medieval Art (KU Leuven), where he assists Annelies Vogels and Hannah De Moor in the day-to-day coordination. He also works on the archive of the late Professor dr. Jan Karel Steppe (1918-2009).
His current research topics include late medieval sculpture and visual culture in the Early Modern Low Countries, the latter with which he is contributing to the upcoming exhibition Origins set for 2021.
