Erika Scheltens (°1953) graduated from KU Leuven in 1976 with a degree in Archaeology and Art History. Erika worked as an archaeologist for over 25 years, researching a variety of regions such as Oudenburg and Asse in Belgium, Artena and Ordona on the Italian peninsula, and Sagalassos in Turkey. She equally worked as a provincial archaeologist for the Brabant region in Belgium, and was employed at KU Leuven as an administrative clerk until October 2018. Since April 2019, Erika has been working at Illuminare as a voluntary scientific assistant, specifically tasked with adding meta data to the digitized slide collection.
